thanks everyone! not a substantial update, got another 2 hrs in last night. about ready to start texturing, just a few more details to hit on the floating earth bit, rocks, extra roots.
I'll desaturate some colors and reduce orange in te next render. Thx for the prop compliment btw :) heres another one. This would be something like a floating ad you'd see near the foodstores.
Window > Settings / Preferences It will open to the interface dialog, simply select which windows you want to open in the main Maya UI window as part of the interface, or as a seperate floating window. EDIT : These are my settings : -
Awesome Post EQ thanks. Would you happen to know if theres a similar script floating around for max (from viewport grabs you post seems like you use modo possibly)?
Off a great start. @Solid_Otter! You can probably sculpt the floating skull, or do skull and use fluid particle for realism approach. Focus on the character first tho, the skulls are only BG effects.
I usually use boolean, or do what u said, cut with snaps. Or if you don't mind/want a faster and less destructive method, just float little fake holes above the surface.
This!!! I forbid myself from doing anything that resembles "work" at weekends. It's so important to unwind, relax, see friends, appreciate the outdoors, go out and get drunk or whatever floats your boat :)
Updates and some quick test renders. Excuse floating bits that are going to be baked in i.e. paneling. @Ihazard, does the cockpit still have that "melted glass" appearance? Tried to modify that a bit. Landing Gear
@klown looking good!! I'm still hanging on by a thread - I decided the floating torso look wasn't working out so going full body now...which will hurt my deadline hah~
Cool. I like the fact that you have gone for one of the guys from the original movie, Not too many of those floating about. I am looking forward to some more texture work.
