Whilst the art style itself is not one of my favorites, this environment is an amazing piece of art. He pulls it off brilliantly, and the music/soundeffects top this off with sheer brilliance. The atmosphere is the best I've seen and heard in a long long time.
I had the same issue a while back and found it was the motion blur setting on UE4. If you turn it off there should be no more blur when you press play :) . Search Global Post Process Volume and it's an option on there to turn off.
another cool hotkey is; right shift and number pad with a selection, aligns the camera to that selection normal instead of world coords. if your hard edge seams are putting you off the uv seams you can then off in the n window.
2012 works great with hardware and nitrous turned off. Ans ao turned off (otherwise it shows through objects for some reason. 3rd party shaders seem borked though, not 100% sure why. Will have a wee dig.
Looking good, I think where the main turret connects to the top part of the tank is off. If you look at it the tank turret top should be higher then the barrel part. Also the side skirts are triangles not simple planes off the body
Oh yes, and Happy holidays to you all I hope you all have a safe and merry time this season, whether you're freezing your ass off like myself or sweating it off like those aussie folks.
Really appreciate it guys! @akiratang @Ashervisalis Here's another small update. Fixed a couple shapes that were off and fixed some weird material issues. The metal still is a little off and as always more texture work needs to be done.
I get the damn sticky thing come up from time to time I hope this time all that crap stays off. I had stickys off but the other two options were on. Thanks for the info Mop. Alex
Yeah, thanks Zilk. I actually requested this thread to be removed from the sketchbook section. I'ma repost it at the show off your art section as a WIP thread instead as soon as it is taken off. Didn't feel like it belonged here...
Create the hipoly off of zspheres or a base mesh then find a good, Max (or other) friendly subdivided resolution that maintains the basic forms then export it out and build your lowpoly topology off of that. Unwrap that sucker then go back into zbrush to bake.
