well the plugin that is also used, was changed quite a bit, so it would be cool if someone just could testrun it. (before I stored results into baseobjct, now I feed result into the added unwrap modifier, which of course is different from each max version, so some interface feeding is done which is the critical part I want… -

I haven't tried it out, but Windows Live Photo Gallery has some panorama stitching capabilities, granted its MS, probably in an effort to make it user friendly they've either convoluted the interface, or dumbed down the features... but someone should look into it and see if its any good.… -

well the strap probably wouldn't be holding the gun. The gun would be attached to the character with gravity and collision, then you'll want it to interact with the character's collision, probably a custom one specifically for item attachments. The strap would just be visual, with cloth physics. -

no access to maya to test but... have u tried the soft selection's deformer (tool) instead of the default interactive soft selection deformation? In that way you could probably just remove the vertices in question from it's set? via the component or set editors I imagine? ( without any effect to your envelope's initial… -

@WaYWO finally, thanks! Really loved the interface, but I found a thing, which actually worked in previous version, but not now. If you want to boolean several instances from an object, only the first one will be cut out. Others will just stay in place and do nothing. However, the instances will still share their shape.… -

Great work so far! Though I prefer the colors of the earlier images. Looks like maybe some blue tones in the cubemap or something? Maybe you could give the metal a hint of blue. It gave it more energy, and made it more inviting. Also, I think the corridor could be broken up by a unique module. Maybe some kind of interface… -

I'd say ZBrush. If you're coming from an illustration background, it will feel the most natural to you (once you get over the convoluted interface). Just remember, ZBrush is all about using a wacom, not a mouse and keyboard. Gotta learn the quick keys too. Also, in my personal opinion, I think ZBrush is innovating way more…
