Lucas is transforming into a toad.. have you seen his neck??? I'd pay good money to watch a group of nasty kids throw him high into the air and have him pop with the pressure.
There was a discussion about this very thing not too long ago on one of the programmer email lists. The basic consensus was that the transform cost was just too high on current cards to support pure mesh trees.

I always model lod02 first and bake normal map for it . Then I do projected vertex normals so lod01 works same way dx11 automatic tessellation and displacement does. Any extra vertex in lod01 gets its vertex normal interpolated and only visual position of vertex is changing, not shading. That way it still perfectly matches…
Prompt 11: Tiny My wife likes to make Diamond Dot paintings occasionally and that inspired me to put together a generator that transforms any image input into a Diamond Dot Painting for today's prompt.
You can use preferences.useTransformGizmos = true or false to set the transform gizmo's visibility. tmGizmos.useGizmo = true or false also works. After running that command use redrawViews() to make sure the viewport updates, if needed.
