It blows me away the level of quality that Obsidian went with for their models and textures. Oh well, if the game makes money, do eeeeet. Your stuff looks much improved. So are you taking their low poly triangulated model and rebuilding a high off that? This is one of the few cases when the sandpaper monster is a good…
3 weeks?!?!?! I was trying to have mine finished by tomorrow. Oh well, this gives me more time to work out the bugs. I'm not using the monster truck for this, it was only a test. It's still here tho: http://www.elysiumvisions.com/shockwave/monstertruck/ The fact I'm using XSI without a proper W3D exporter is causing…
i dont see very much likeness to the berserker actually, more than they both have alot of muscles if that is what you ment, different arms, different legs, different head and different torso, dont know where you see the grenadier either=P but okey.. big monster these days are always makes people think of GOW..
yeah just cause they have videos of the game it doesnt mean they are running on actual hardware. the videos look better than the screenshots that probably came from actual in game footage.. but still why is everything brown??! the monster is brown the ground is brown the metal and gun even look like they are shades of…

Now for something completely different... hard surface practice! Low poly finished, onto the high poly. Based on a beacon concept from Fallout…
Hey everyone, I just finished my first Gumroad tutorial focusing on a monster sculpt using Zbrush and Photoshop. Currently there is no voice over but I have a question sheet available via Google Docs. Let me know if you find this helpful. Cheers! More or less complete with the rough leg sculpting. Just not sure how to proceed with the hoof or armor plates just yet. I will have to collect some reference material on hard organic surfaces like chitin and horse hooves before I proceed. Maybe draw some inspiration from previous armored monsters people have made.
people already mentioned some awesome stuff here, but just though I would drop this one in here. not getting feedback might actually be a sign of progress, I know it sounds a bit counterproductive, but just keep at it =P I really like the robot vs monster piece btw. (skill is left to right and comments are bottom to top)
Some quick ideas: heart in a Jar Weaponized accordion Crate filled with tentacle monster Dumpster that has been modified into vehicle Jack the Ripper's tool box Maybe these are a tad bit ambitious, but if you are going to be making mundane objects, sometimes it helps to give them a bit of flavor.. to shake up the cliche…
First and third clip especially made me absolutely envious and inspired at the same time. First clip the monster reminded me of the one that stalks you in another world (first thing that came to mind) and dat tiger animation. Great job. The rest was great work too but the two hand-animated pieces really tickled my fancy.
