Honestly I really loved the Evil Genius thread Adam, it was awesome and I do agree that it's always nice when people share their workflow, but most of the time when you get to a certain level the workflow becomes common knowledge. It's also about posting at the right time, when you post that you're creating an environment…
@Antone_m, Thanks bud, hope to get better with these in the new year :) @Miche, Glad you like 'em! Saw your journey girl in WAYWO and I must say that she's looking great! @Torch, Hey Philip, really appreciate your feedback - I haven't paid much attention to three-quarter view until now that you mentioned it. The transition…
Medestruit: Sorry if I sounded harsh, I can totally see where you're coming from - I'm just trying to clarify things to prevent confusion, cos GCMP did say he was getting confused by the mixed messages - probably best if we keep everything in the realm of game art, since that's what we're doing here... although it's always…

not sure now, messed with all sorts of settings, mainly to prioritize speed over quality just tested it with direct x 12 settings and still no crashes( realised I actually had it on dx11) I have fairly old RTX 2070, but my PC is still fairly beefy. Lucky i did not go out and buy a 4070 :) as a video card upgrade seems to…
There's definitely less build-freedom than the original GW, and I must admit that's one of two things that really bums me about Guild Wars 2. I LOVED coming up with unique builds in the first GW - even ones that were impractical, ones that were excessively hard to make "work" just for the fuck of it. Most builds that I…
From Thomas at Frictional on Soma. SOMA is meant to be a proper sci-fi game, and to get that right we couldnt let the themes be an afterthought. My favorite works of sci-fi are the ones that use fantastic worlds to probe important issues in a way that down-to-earth settings just cannot. Great sci-fi authors like Asimov,…
@Vig, WoW isn't the only example I can think of, it's just the most common one people know of. I don't think you can fairly say that a model must be a certain number of polygons or that everyone else in the world is following suit. Look at anything 3D on the DS, technical limitations mean incredibly low poly models. That…
This is a common issue to TB. What I found is, you must make sure your model has triangles not quads. Make sure it has a normal map and texture attached to it. Export it as fbx, then import. Should be fine then.
Comments: @Jackablade: Yeah I darkened it up really quick, but making it more matte will take a bit longer, ill try and work that in later. Thanks. :) @Alberto: Thanks dude! I tried it and it was really distracting. Definitely drew attention though. :P I'm going to go back and try to rework the texture to read more like a…
