I love Xnormal. It is faster and less fussy then Maya's baking options. I also briefly used froXnormal to export to Xnormal directly within Maya (http://www.creativecrash.com/maya/script/froxnormal) when I'm feeling particularity lazy. I've yet to find a product that is a) faster or b) gives better results.
@Dataday - I think you're missing the point. He didn't want to not assign them a coursebook as per the accreditation requirements. He didn't want to assign them an e-book that a) expired and b) wasn't suitable for what he wanted to teach. The company wanted that e-book assigned as it makes them profits.
Yea man, if they dont hire you solely b/c you have some tatts and piercings...it's definitely better you dont get a job there anyway. Working at a place that restricts you from being you should be an instant turn off. Remember it should be a good fit for them as well as you.

Agree with you and one annoyance i cannot figure out yet is how to get additive selection with Box Select or lasso in edit mode since if you want it to work you have to hit B on the keyboarb and you get the old cursor that is different than the Select box one and it is suppose to be the same tool!
Thanks for this! :D I have a couple of doubts. The normal (object space (b&n) and normal2 (green ch) how do you bake it? With Xnormal too? And for the maps you bake in ndo2, wich map you convert to cavity, diffuse and occlusion2?? the normal one from xNormal?? Thanks mate! Great job
I'm trying to work out how the stabalizers will work. I dont feel like they are compact enough in the 'up' position. Also a bit more on the gun! I'm trying not to go into detail anywhere, I want to build up all the 'medium' detail so I can still change things drastically at will :B
Did that pass already? I thought that was planned for next year. Well, the sooner the better. We're already paying high taxes while the state is constantly bankrupt, we don't need parasites like that guy leeching off society. Additionally now I know where the term B-movie comes from:
First experiment with the grass in-engine: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZV71unZ8cC4 So, I have been reading and dissecting other's people work on vegetation. I went for a Masked/Subsurface/2-Sided material, instead of UE4's 2-Sided Foliage shader, because I was getting bad results on the flowers meshes (probably because…
