oh yeah for the red its painted, and approaches a flesh tone for the "white" of the eye, i use a flesh tone for the white so the highlight really pops at all times. for the iris, its an exaggerated normal map, the geo is flat. another trick to get them to pop and look really good in game is to use a slightly desaturated…
so basically i'm making a game, but i use a very old computer and so my dad said if i make a snake game on C i get a Gaming PC (A fast Computer). So i need YOU to make me an exact copy of google snake. but you might say "why should i help somebody if i don't get anything!". you are literally helping me make a game that…
Hi! Don't know what happened when you beveled the edges. If you did so using modifiers, I would double check the result in Unity or reimport the export, to make sure UVs didn't get messed up. Attached you find two examples illustrating what I meant previously (another loop on flat area, then have lightmap wrap around…
Oh no not one of these. Why not? It begins...*sigh* Some pretty gruesome stories guys glad you all made It out okay. I will add some of mine. About 10 years old: Walking down a street with my mom I look back to see a classmate/friend from school, so eager to say hi to him and look cool, (I guess) I forget to stop walking,…

it is meant for subd, work so you can get consistent creases across a mesh, instead of manually entering values everytime you create a crease. Even know on un-subdivided models why would you use it for smoothing, when the hard/soft edges system just works better for that?
Instead of extending the sculpt piece by piece it would be a good idea to get the base for everything blocked out otherwise you risk ending up with very wonky proportions and you will also get a feel for how far you've gotten to your goal and will probably spend less time getting bogged down in details. Otherwise it's…
If this was a 3rd person game and it was background detail, I might see if I could get away with hotspot texturing with decals for the labels. Wouldn't do that for a first person cockpit. For first person, I'd use a lot of geo to control the normals and shading for bevels and not try to bake that out.
Hi all. I am new, and impatient. I love this forum so far because of all the talent - we're all alike here and it feels great to be among other creators :) I have started this journey first with 3DS Max, simply because that was in my mind, sort of the "Grand Kai" of 3D, the one I remember hearing about first anyway. I…
