I have been having problems getting my trees I made in Blender working correctly in Unity. When I try to paint them they are lying sideways or half way under the terrain. Also I have error that says I "must use Nature/Soft Occlusion shader" but when I apply that shader on the material the material turns pink!
Looks promising ! Little bit too much of AO on this in my opinion: http://i1292.photobucket.com/albums/b567/grimsonfart/screenshot0047_zpsa9ns0d6h.jpg Keep up the good work! So if I may ask on what reasons/purposes did you choose Cry engine ? My summer goal is to learn Cry engine or Unreal, I am still hesitating.
My general workflow goes as: Make High Poly > Make Low Poly > Unwrap Low Poly> Bake > Paint > Use low poly model as final asset. My final textures fits perfectly to the final low poly model but it is a low poly model and doesn't look very impressive. And my textures do not fit to my high poly model, because unwrapping…
hhmm, i see what you did there, as much as this can seem odd, moving the cryo-modules a bit closer together could help trick the human eye\brain and make it look pass the repetitiveness, it could be easy as this. Go go go go !!! :)
I'm having issues just login into the editor it crash's after i click login. Has anyone else had this issue i know a fair few people on the crydev are. it seems to be a issue server side I've spent the last few hours looking for a fix. I'm just wondering if anyone else has had that issue?
I am trying to model a transmission tower and I want to make these powerlines using a transparent texture. Am I going to need a bunch of line segments in the plane for the texture to work because the image is stretching? I want this model to be used in a game engine so I don't want much polygons on the powerlines. I…
@lluc21 I tried following all your suggestion and here are the modifications I made: - Baking: I made the edges of the high poly mesh much softer than it was before, and I enjoyed the final result (even though it was not extremely noticeable). below is a new render, that was made with the new baked maps. But If you want…
Nice results, I would say that the light is pretty expensive for what it is. I would recommend for initial experiments getting a cheap led flashlight like https://www.amazon.com/Hausbell-Ultra-Bright-Flashlight-Tactical/dp/B00CEOII9K you can unscrew the lens and bare leds put out a surprisingly wide beam of fairly even…
Lets explore the lighting for a few min. Like Sectaurs said the scene sufferers from monochromatic-ism. One thing that would help that is different colored lights. If you make your ambient lighting with very subtle, defused lights that use cool colors like blue, and purple you will give the illusion that areas are dark but…
You should check out the last post on this page, i linked a Crye Engine doc, that explains how to get better bakes in xNormal. http://polycount.com/discussion/149028/padding-issue http://docs.cryengine.com/display/SDKDOC2/Common+XNormal+Baking+Errors+and+How+to+Solve+Them
