@Jessica Dinh - Just realized I forgot that you said I should try to add a little noise in a way to get some more texture. I will do that this next go around. :) Getting my tablet working again was a good help with getting those strokes showing through.
I was hoping this would be useful while on the go with my phone or tablet, but Chrome's WebGL support doesn't work that well. I enabled it and the entire page loads, but I can't do anything but click. :( I'm gonna give Firefox a go, since I think that supports WebGL too...

Yea I'd love to have some sort of a 3D input device that could be used to paint in normal information directly onto the model in real time, like a 3D wacom tablet or ZBrush without the poly geometry. Maybe the new Nintendo controller will lead to these sorts of tools being developed?
This guy built his own Cintiq from a £30 12x12 wacom tablet and a £38 LCD screen from a broken laptop, both purchased off of eBay. I can't find a total cost but he said it's 5% the cost of a Cintiq which costs £2,999 from wacom's europe store so he spent around £149 by my calculations.
If you do end up going with something similar to Per's controller or VJ sets, make sure to look into OSC rather than MIDI. While midi can do high-resolution (14 bits rather than the regular 7) control, it's more finicky, and OSC seems like a more modern solution for controllers like these. Another thing you can take…
I'm currently slapping my head against my keyboard practising hand painted textures. I have been trying with a mouse, but I have ordered a wacom tablet. This thread is incredibly useful/inspiring/intimidating :p I adore your style, you have a great eye for colours in particular.
Hey, I participate aswell. I also studied the concept about modularity and its like all the other results :P.. I did a fast blockout and started now with the basemesh of the stairs to throw in zbrush whe i get home to my tablet. Next I will do the door tex with ndo.
Done with my week break, friend left back to DK so today I spent some 30 minutes trying to get the rust off of my system and my fear of getting started with animating something random and by drawing, since I'm trying to get more friendly with my tablet again.
I'll give concept 1 a try once my new Huion Graphics tablet is delivered (3-4 days) =D @oreoorbitz her shoulders are way too wide atm, I tihnk the upper body in general is much to wide for a female person and you should scale up those hands
