work on the ears and back of the head to get it roughly at the same level of detail as the face. Study the skull; the ear hole is an important landmark for judging proportions. Flesh and fat hangs off of bone through gravity. Carve out mouth and eye cavities, and make separate meshes for eyes, teeth, tongue. Don't sculpt…
Here are some renders of the hoplite character I made about a month ago. Modeled with Maya and Zbrush. Textured with Substance Painter. Marmoset for realtime rendering. Artstation - https://www.artstation.com/artwork/XkoRl Idle animation - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qnRSSfBIpmY Turntable…
Been working on this for a while and I think the dust and scratches need some love but I don't know what's wrong, Is it too much or too low? idk, maybe you guys could help me out if you dont mind, would really apreciate it :D
Well the metal doesnt look like metal. I cant tell you how to fix it because idk your material setup, but i suggest starting with lowering the roughness and see what you get. Also increase metallic, at least on the edges.
did a SUPER fast and simple ultimate trim sci-fi hall using 3 textures (1 dif, 1 packed, 1 nrm) as a restriction. Would like to do another one and get fancier with some more decals in a third UV.
Why not model those extra parts (essentially just one or two more polygons per edge (idk about your budget though)). It feels like using decals for those big edges at the end of the house might look a bit cheap.
Nice sculpt, but his brows look like they just got waxed which doesnt really fit with the ref. It just seems a little weird to have them so perfect on such a gross face, but maybe you just havent gotten around to it, idk.
i know all that but am not the one who did this file so its why am asking, i cant see how this is being controlled actually so am looking for answers, am wondering if its a big or so because idk
I added a splash of colour by adding in some fish. There's a pun in there somewhere, I'll let you try and find it, and when you do, tell me where it is. Final scene (inc. props and pedestal); 848 polys / 1,461 tris with 2x dif.
I say we make a poll on the last day of the year. Have it run for that day only. Have 2 sections, downloadable and full retail. We should also make sure we don't limit the number of choices. Idk. Just a thought.
