9 days to go...So who's in? I'm planning on working on my chops as an environment concept artist for the contest, but it might be fun to team up with some modelers. Warning: my environments suk. :p Send me a PM if you're interested
smoke from fireworks... just think how many rockets you have to fire for that :P the guys were busy from 5 am onwards. 1st photo: ca 9 pm. 2nd: midnight. 3rd: 1:30 am
i'm really no technical guy, but are you maybe talking about something like this ? sounds like what peris said, at least a bit to me :D http://developer.valvesoftware.com/w/images/9/9c/Blendmodulate.jpg http://developer.valvesoftware.com/wiki/$blendmodulatetexture
just think about going to mars, 9 months with the same people... Normal numbers would have it, two guys a one chick. We all know what that means, three some! And by the time they got there one guy would be dead...
something that gives me a rush and really makes me part of a story and experience, it doesnt even need to be a recent game for me, i sometimes even go back and play final fantasy 9 because its too far out
nope this will be a full fledge unreal 2.0 scene with scripted triggers emitters and the whole 9 yards, but since all thats in this level is a spacious environment and just 4 characters in total, Im allowed to have fun with this guy and have 5k polys
IIRC, zbrush does have an increment save system. Check in lightbox for "quicksaves" or something like that. I thought that on shutdown it autosaves but maybe I misremember. I do know that by pressing 9 it quicksaves, so you should be doing that.
http://picasaweb.google.com/TheEnolaJay/ZBrush3PolyPaintingTutorialI#5325724788699544082 As in this tutorial on page 9 of the tutorial he has a alpha as well as a texture file that he calls " acidic colors " I was wondering where I could get some alphas like this as well as textures? Anyone know ?
Go for it, buddy. It'll be hard as fuck and it will hardly make you rich, but if it's what you love, then you'll get more out of it then most people from their 9-5 100k+ jobs. good luck. post some art:)
