really dark scene for that pixel shader in the viewport would've liked to have seen more perhaps with better lighting setup? maybe more colorful something super simple can do, like a group of colored pencils on a table or something just to show it off, that was interesting congrats btw. That is all i got for now.
Hey guys, I recently finished a fairly complex scene inside of Marmoset Toolbag 3 (the project post is here) and thought I would give a post-mortem of issues I had and mention features that would have been helpful to have. As I was working I took notes of problems or workflow issues that kept recurring. I spent so much…
Thanks! I haven't received any feedback yet, so this is the first. The posing for zhou yu is more in line with his character in the film. (general giving orders) There is one fight scene in the movie, and I do want to make a horse for him to ride and pose with. What kind of pose would you recommend? With this pose, I…
Hi all, I need to get some feedback for my final year project as part of my university course so if you could just answer the following six questions I would be eternally grateful (sorry about the formality of it all but its supposed to be a professional document). There are two sections to this questionnaire each…
" Same scene looks perfect in path tracing render probably but typical on-line rasterized render makes it look sort of dry and "uncanny" art style wise. I long tried to find what it resembles to me till randomly find a well known "rainbow" portrait of Elizabeth 1. Full of tiny details done with perfectly same attention in…
NEW REMASTER UPDATE (8/8/24) Hello Polycount! If anyone is still reading this, I have just finished a complete remaster of this scene that I spent another 2 and a half years painstakingly creating! I wanted it to be as big of a leap as possible and the definitive version of this scene! I saw my old one and just slowly over…
I think the "why" of choosing lighting is normally just about composition. Where do you want to create contrast and draw attention, etc. But once you've determined the light sources in your scene, you have a pretty solid idea what to do. I'm no expert so my explanation might not be 100% correct, but I'll give it a shot: In…
Hello, recently I decided to revisit a University project that I wanted to improve as I had a great time making it, but unfortunately also had other modules to contend with so I couldn't accomplish everything I set out to do. The scene is based on the Balin's Tomb scene in The Fellowship of the Ring (before the cave troll…
I have an issue where if I create references to scenes with shared shading networks, it works only as long as I only reference one file. Ex: I reference in scene A with a cube that has shader shdrA into a new scene (shared shading networks enabled in reference options). I can now duplicate that reference as much as I like…
