questions like this are best asked on the official unreal forums i wont look into the details on this but here is some general information given an input of some float value like an input axis value, that is going from positive to negative you can use a map range clamped node to normalize the value for example, turn a…
I am an environment artist, so take the following advice with grain of salt. I have however seen a lot of character artist portfolios and read a lot of critiques and tips for them, so hopefully my thoughts are of some help to you. One thing that sticks out to me is that you don't have a fully finished human character on…
to clear it up, i'm asking whether or not this model has proper deformation edgeloops in the right places (shoulder and crotch in this case) not a really on a sculptural level (being it doesnt have anything partway down the forearm of tibia). what you're seeing is my humanoid animation topology base, i'm working it out…
Hello, I'm looking for a freelance weapon animator for a HL2 MOD The Rising. We have an arm rig and weapon models ready to go (3ds Max 2010 rig, can export different versions if need be). Keep in mind, this work is for a free game and we don't have all the money in the world, so we are looking for a reasonably priced…
Hey! This usually wouldn't be a problem, but I'm trying to do a specific thing which means my character's skeleton needs to be in it's original bind pose. I've made a control rig which adds a bunch of constraints to the skeleton which pulls it just slightly out of alignment from the original bind pose, which normally…
I've got a character model I've been working on, and I just got him rigged and enveloped in XSI 5.11. But after I had got all that done, I realized when I twist the character's wrist +/- ~90 degrees (the full range of motion), the polygons in his wrist get all twisted up, and his wrist collapses. It looks like a cardboard…
@Rima @zetheros I formatted these questions in this way because I thought it’d be easier to understand the points I was bringing up. Yes I plan on replying back to both set of comments on both posts but wanted to hear more people’s thoughts first. Both set of questions were on my mind, figured it’d make more sense to ask…
that all depends on the style. i would say a high poly would get you better normals than photosource. and i think the gun would be cool, but its not a deal breaker. once you get this textured with wear/tear and dirt, it should look fine. maybe bring it into zbrush to ding it up a tad.
Industry related work?... almost never. Personal work and hobbies?... as often as I can. I work on my woodworking and automotive hobbies. I've also been getting into range shooting, lately. Also... whiskey. In my experiences, spending all day at work and then bringing that home leads to a faster and more frequent burnout.
It's all good :P the wings on the swooping hawks are there jump packs which provide them extra mobility and with being a range unit the hormagaunts would never reach them. One thing with the hormagaunt, the forearm with the scythes should be thicker as thats where the poison glands are located if they're 'produced' to be…
