What version of the FBX exporter are you using? (Find this out when you are doing your exporter options at the bottom) I tend to use FBX 2011. Nice job on the idle animation! are you doing run forwards backwards etc?
If you're using Maya, it's hard not to recommend Jason Schleifer's Animator Friendly Rigging series. Super comprehensive video tutorials with giant PDFs, for just over $100. I know it's not a physical book, but it's fantastic stuff. Your animators will thank you.
Does anyone know where I can download the original offline documentation of Zbrush that explains the basic features of ZBrush like Masking, transpose, topology e.t.c?Most of the pdfs available focuses on the new features of Zbrush 4r2,4 and 3.5. Thanks.
idk if this your exact issue but it looks to me like a mipping problem combined w/ a white BG. does your diffuse have plenty of padding? again im not a maya user so I dont know if this is a standard issue with maya.
So, no crits? and can I post 2d animation related problem here in polycount? [ame=" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5JzgcKaUgCI"]Idle kick[/ame] Crits on the animation, esp. the last punch. Can't get it right no matter what.
Works just fine here, without doo dark error or whatever.. the only thing I noticed is, that it's not power of 2. the image size was 1024x1023 so you need to change it to 1024x1024 (but this could also an error from the attachment upload, idk.
thats arsh, always good advice , maybe there should be a PDF file somewhere of all the crazy bump related tutorials put together? (Ive seen 1 or 2 here and there) maybe put it for a crazy bump download help file release?
to win the middleware war engine makers have to look ahead quite a bit... a lot is now "changing" with the programmability of the GPUs. About the challenges of future and trends there is a nice talk by Epic's Tim Sweeney: http://graphics.cs.williams.edu/archive/SweeneyHPG2009/TimHPG2009.pdf
I think that is one of the most accurate, and modest, things I've heard any artist say. I really can't ask anything that hasn't already been mentioned, but this thread has just become a .PDF for technique reference. Thanks, a lot
So I've decided to toss my hat into the ring for this challenge. I'm taking one of the maps in the latest build and doing my take on an overgrown fortress sort of thing. I'd like to do all three screenshots we will see how much time I have idk. Current: Previous: Screenshots:
