Hey thanks for the reply, that was exactly what the issue was! I cant count how many times I looked over the interface for something I might have accidentally clicked - somehow I missed the Normal Constrain toggle!
Yes and while we're at it we can remove the text and interface. Point being, views is just one of those ego-inflating stats, and we don't really see it as critical information. Reply count and page views are different.

The best dreams are the ones where you're modeling with no interface, its like the model is just floating in front of you and you can just move it around with your hands...yeah...in my dreams modeling is so much better.
m4dcow, I tried that ninja thing when it was called kam mapper and after 10min of use found that it didn't offer anything the default maya interface didn't already have. Has he added something to it that is actually useful?
nope i have the same problems as you, i used the comTypes interface to work with photoshop while using maya. It;s pretty easy to control photoshop from maya like this, but the other way around next to impossible.

Was this made in blender?? I notice the interface. How do you get to export models created from blender into UT2k4?? I don't believe there is a plugin to export into UT2k4 but probably the use of seperate 3D programs to do the job.
Well, what I've discovered is that there are a number of complicated factors that actually make it a lot more usable in a pipeline that is Max based as opposed to Maya. I'm not disputing its validity or usefullness overall though. But the interface still blows ;-p
