The portfolio is nicely laid out. My big concern is the content. It's all highly stylized, specific fantasy. As in, it doesn't really fit in with anything besides itself. In the perspective of an employer, it doesn't look like anything anyone can use. When marketing yourself, you need to showcase content that employers…
Any $100 IPS monitor is perfectly ok once you have Xrite or at least Spyder calibrator . And in total it often cheaper then any pro expensive display. Also it's all depends on subject. If you work in a comics based, purely graphical style or just within a kind of heavily visually stylized or extremely color graded…
I've had feedback on my portfolio that it is too stylized, which cast doubt over my ability to do more realistic things because it wasn't obvious in my portfolio. This isn't a slight to your work at all, I think it's lovely, just sharing personal experience. I've had the inside connection, met all of the requirements but…
It's regarding your characters that are trying to be fairly realistic. You could also apply the same detail to the cartoon/stylized characters and still maintain the stylized look.
i think he should be much more stylized to fit into the dotaverse, humans in general are the least stylized there but there is a lot you could do on the bodyshapes.

Also, on the following : " Things are moving fast, as showing" I may sound like a bit of a contrarian but I would argue…
Awesome croissant sculpt! I agree with Joopson that the wood texturing is noisy, its taking away from the great sculpt imo. I think the concept you're working with is appealing because of how clean it is, its got a lot of focus on color+shape with bigger stylized details. Of course, if you're going for a more stylized PBR…
I disagree. Super Mario Bros. and its family of pixelated games have timeless visuals, almost specifically because of the highly constrained technology. It seems like most people feel like early (or even contemporary) 3D game art will somehow be different and become forever obsolete as the new hotness rolls around. But I…
Hey everyone, first post here! I have been working as a 3D artist for a bit more than a year now, and managed to build a small portfolio. Could you maybe give some critique on what to remove/change? I will also add few of the models I made to this post for easier reading, rest are on my portfolio. I really want to focus on…
