Hi, quick update on the texturing, I started working with Adobe substance painter and here is a result on the top cloth for the character. I'm quite happy of the result for a first work in unlit texturing. I would be happy to hear any feedbacks if you have. Please ignore the wiggly parts described below. So apparently…
hello , why don't you do the revers or start from a low polyversion ? meshing out the main parts of the plant and only after add the zbrush detailing , but is that really needed? I mean when I did my plants I did in 3dsmax mainly and used tiling textures couse I wanted and needed to use loads of different plants in the…
i understand completely about the size and measurements, i did add the door at the end, about the padding, the images i found did have padding's at the bottom so i did follow that. i do try to pay attention to detail and i will get measurements for future projects. sean gaddy gave me an A not sure now if it deserved it :P
Hi, I'm writing a bit late, but I did rewrite some tutorials and i get pretty nice effect And this is how i got this, I realized that subD Modifier need some geometry to work good. For example we cen get nice cylidrical shape add subD to 4 side cylinder, but its work better if we have 8 for example The issue what i post…
i keep getting this result where it seems like a channel is being completely missed. it happened more than once, i've always managed to make it "reappear" but i don't know how i did and what is causing the issue. both meshes have been triangulated and i did all the basic procedures to bake this kind of texture. I've used…
I have started working on RGB masks for my walls and ceilings, but I am not sure if I am doing it correctly as there are limited resources that I can find online :'( or maybe I am bad at keywords :'( Here are some early trial and error: I did 5 separate 2K RGB masks for 5 different materials and I think I could've just…
Oh. Hmmm :expressionless: It certainly looks unique. Well, when I compare it to this (by Anatomy for Sculptors): https://www.artstation.com/artwork/RYQNWy I kinda interpret this hollow as very exaggerated region between fat and eyelid (yellow area, not even shows in my picture, so I realize my mistake now). In case of your…
You can always paint it by hand and then copy mask to all layers or add the color to the "Links" in the Material ID section, which is what I think you did? I haven't tried it since the latest update, but I could never add a new material to a swatch, I always had to control + click on a color to add it to the current layer.
I would probably try and do a sim , ie marvelous designer, because its a really tough ask to do it by hand i did one back in 2015 ish and abandoned it :)
@kelly_caroline I have a few smart materials I have made for myself. Other than that it's a lot of just trying to find the best match for certain materials. Source had good ones where I didn't need to make my own this time around, though I would probably make the rope in the future if I were to do this again as I didn't…
