Hey this is coming along very nice! Just a thought: You can incrase the polycount on the rope and the arc wood, because you can see the hard edges on the siluethe. ;)
It's not the first ui rework . Surely I can't be the only one old enough to remember version 4. :( It's been "dying" since they cocked up version 5 iirc.
IIRC, it's not only that, triangle stripping is harder to do with these triangle fans, which could make certain vertices have to be read twice, and then there goes your savings of 56 triangles.

Looks great! Only one thing bugging me the eyes at a distance I lose the iris, it starts to blend to the whites alot. Can't wait to see the gear and posing!
Thanks for the feedback. Now that you mention it your dead on about the eye maybe some more detail like adding an iris will fix that. and will definitely work on the legs too :)
