they'll prob anounce 2013 soon but release more like april/may :S 2012 has been the most stable for me of the recent releases. 2010 and 2011 being worse. also post up your pc specs. i know they've changed the interface since 2010 so maybe thats causing a slowdown for you -

This is an old school hack.... Maya ascii files (.ma) have a header in them that defines what version of maya they are for. Empty FBX files / FBX only exporting rig?
Hi, Im having a really annoying issue with maya's export. it's either exporting an empty file (though its still a 2mb rather than 0) or if i try to export a binded mesh, it'll only send the rig. Maya - Slow Launch, takes forever to start up. 10+ minutes.
Alright so I can't seem to find a solution anywhere.
