Exactly. Engines Mip in powers of 2, so try tI have your atlas divided more evenly. Ie, have every side of every atlas element a power of 2, so 64, 128, 256, 512, etc. I wouldn't reccomend atlasing in thirds like you seem to be doing.
GTX580 just came out the other day, seems a bit pricey though starting at $550 (considering its just a refresh of a year old card), and power consumption is the same as 480 :-/ . Hopefully when Kepler comes out they'll have finally got the power consumption down to more manageable levels.
[ QUOTE ] Work - Firefox Home - I.E on Win machines, Mozilla on Linux. I guess I'm not a big enough web browsing geek to really care about the browser I use. Or is that a "power browser", LOL. [/ QUOTE ] It wasn't the power browsing that did it for me - it was all the security and virus exploits that plagued IE.
I would wait for a G92-Chip based GeForce 8600 or similar, as they will suck less power. and 512 MB for graphics will be much cheaper today, aswell. There are probably cases with a bit more "spare space" or powersupply on top, fiddling all the power cables from below upwards, wasnt exactly fun & easy...
You know this could really work. The original was making a comment about atomic weaponry. This new version could be commenting about atomic power. (I.E. Fukushima Daiichi). Maybe even a bigger message about the human need for power consumption in general. Also yea, Jackablade. The Unamericanized version of the original was…
also, you need to make sure your model is aligned to a grid that is spaced with values of two; UDK works with a power-of-two-based grid. meaning that if you actually use a power of two as width, height, length or all of them, the overlapping parts should disappear, as you are probably using grid snapping in UDK.
Looks much more proud and powerful! Lol glad i could make your day! ETA: Its crazy how powerful moose are -> http://youtu.be/6GEhM2Byk7w?t=1m46s I can't even wade through water easily O_O Sounds like you'll figure it out :) sub'd to keep watch!
Hah cool, so it's you that have made some of those 3d renders that our 3dteacher(Marcus) used in one of his power point presentation. Funny to find another skövde student here on PC :) That last mountain study is awesome and i really liked the boy with those big power gloves
good call, i overlooked that in my initial post anyways that was the purpose of the power comment for Nvidea's plug-in. if thats what he used it looks like his power was set to 1-2. also the rope needs some work looks too smooth right now kinda vinelike. gl on fixes! -Woog
I'm trying to tweak the specularpower to give the leather a tighter specular and have the plastic a softer one. For me to to be able to have the specular power to look right on the leather I have to use a constant with a value of 30, is there a way to use a texture to control the spec power? cause I tried and it looks…
