I would guess powersupply or connections, as it's been mentioned earlier. The reasons for my questioning was to see if something external could be causing it. If it's reseting on it's own (with nothing but power), then the power could be dropping out. Doe the enclosure have any sort of fan? Maybe there is a cooling system…
Imo the cover system is MUCH BETTER than gears, you're not locked in, in gears its sooo easy to jsut stuck in cover its not even funny. Vegas's cover system is damn near perfect IMO. The bloom really isnt what bothers me its the retinal response crap.
They have, its just that GA.org use the entry system to auto-create threads for their entries (like they do with just about every comp on their forum). The system still isn't up and running which is why they don't have threads yet, but they definitely have entrants :P -caseyjones
Muzz: Yes, the Agile system is great. The art team at Mythic was transitioning over to it and while it was a bit rocky at first we really started hitting our stride. Seems like alot of the studios I've talked to have begun using the Agile system for their art teams as well.
after i put my system together online i spoke with a representative over their chat system. I just asked if there was any discounts or rebates that could be applied to help out with the purchase. He played around for a minute and then gave me the new figures. Pretty easy.
Considering I wrote two particle systems (I'm not talking about effects, I wrote entire systems for handling those effects) by hand and know how they work inside and out, I'd be perfectly suited for a job doing that stuff. Now if only I weren't 16...
Hi all, I have new openings for lighting and VFX artists for a next gen console developer in Washington. One of the lighting positions is immediate, the other is for a summer start. Please do not apply to these positions unless you have a portfolio that supports the job requirements. Professional experience in games or…
It hasn't ,it's done everywhere - usually with no user input Unreal's HLOD system does something along those lines, simplygon's runtime system can do it and several of the proprietary engines I've worked on did it. Any time you hear the terms imposter or mesh aggregation it basically means the same thing.
Hopefully the hybrid system we have been hearing about that is more or less a Nintendo portable system that works on TV's too. I can see it being more or less the follow up to the 3DS (may or may not have two screens) and will have a tiny box you can sync to at the tv.
I might agree with that. But if that's the case, buy it on ebay from a person. That way you won't support a broken system. I don't think any sane person thinks it's wrong to sell stuff you rightfully bought. I think the issue is with gigantic companies exploiting the system and making millions from it.
