Iirc 3dCoats Photoshop link supports sending back and forth camera projection while keeping layers (with some caveats probably). I imagine people who are at home in photoshop (use custom brushes) might like this.
How did you create your normal map? Did you bake from high to low, using UV breaks on the low wherever there are hard edges? Sunset Overdrive used a special shader technique with deferred decals (iirc, can't remember the exact technique name), so they could superimpose normal maps for bevels.
There's a left/right handedness discrepancy between the two iirc. As Alex suggests you're likely best off transferring data via fbx - especially if it's animation

It might be a little late to change now, but it irks me that the pillar on the left is sort of floating on top of those panels, instead of being integrated? If that makes sense?
Update: Did the arc rail. That was a tough one, cause it was hardsurface, yet quite organic. But I'm happy with the results. Up Next: Peltor Comtac III
