Second one : a robot based on an awesome design by Gennaro Grazioso (https://www.artstation.com/artwork/8lg1q ) ! - done in a couple of hours in Wings3D, trying to increase my speed , the result is not perfect but close enough. sketchfab viewing is here: https://skfb.ly/6KUOD
update, working on lighting, slow but steady - i think it's getting better, anyway tomorrow i gonna start making the robotic arm, after that i gonna make a generator, and after all that i guess i will continue lighting the scene
I think it depends what kind of hardsurface character and what you feel will personally save you some time, a machinen krieger I would say no, an evangelion style robot probably yes. Play to your strengths in each software.
Awesome idea! I'd be careful with the spines/ridges you've got on you profile view of the whole dog statue/robot - makes it feel more like the mounts in heroes of the storm than something Egyptian inspired. Looking forward to seeing this progress! :)
I've been posting these in a sketchbook thread but decided to put them here for easier viewing. I recently participated in an event called "March of robots", where artists attempt to make a robot everyday either for fun or experience. All robots are exploratory speed models made in Sketchup, UV unwrapped in 3dsmax, and…
This will be my little place to post work in progress shots or just general experiments and other stuff i do. To Start it off with a wip shot of some kind of machine.. unsure how i should continue on this as part of a robots foot.. or as some kind of gun installment. any ideas on a direction togo would be great :)
I want to make a central town in my project that is made in the side of a giant robot arm or a crashed space station type thing. I want this to be large and I want players to be able to see it from any distance. Any ideas/tips on creating/managing such a task?
Hi guys, so recently I've been trying to model a robot from ChamferZone's Mech tutorial and I have a problem. I'm using the chamfer modifier and the lines are overlapping. (I.e in the picture) Is there any way I can fix this? There are no floating vertexes or anything that I know of. Thanks for your help.
I decided a few days ago to seriously attempt at using Zbrush's BPR render and photoshop for concepting a few ideas. Here is what I've done so far. Would love to hear what you guys think, feedback on the overall composition or ways to improve the work is appreciated!
I've started making some Hand Panted Assets. Any Input would be amazing! #1. Wooden Barrel (Finished) #2. DOTA 2 Style Box (WIP) #3. Machinarium Robot Fan Art (WIP) #4. Pumpkin (Finished) #5. Hearthstone Tavern Sign (Finished)
