True story, but when I was a kid I had some neighbors that were certain that the Y2k bug was really going to wipe out the system. So they got new cars, maxed out the old credit cards, got a 2nd mortgage, etc. And oddly enough, the Y2K bug did nothing. It ended in ruin for them.
