Yes, the waviness is an astetic thing. It isn't an error on the NM. As I said, it's something you'll have to test for yourself and decide if it looks acceptable. Not going to matter as much on LODs obviously. I don't know the engine specs or limitations for TF2 so you should get in the habit of getting your assets… -

You can always set getting some of your assets on a marketplace as a goal, like the Unity Store or Unreal Engine 4 marketplace. Or try your hand at the TF2/DOTA2/CSGO etc. markets.
