Thanks! I have work a bit more on this water simulation https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FEm3PPPPfJQ 3/4 top: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DYUpmdpfGiM It's begin to work like I want. Now I have to merge this with my rigid body simulation and add a lot more particles with a replicator.
FLCL has some absolutely phenomenal animation. So I can see why you would want to use it as reference. Unfortunately Gainax's 2D animation is exceptionally difficult, if not pretty much impossible to replicate in 3D (believe me, I've tried). A 1620 degree spinning kick doesn't really work in 3D.
Hey Adam one of the hallmarks of the look your going for is chromatic aberration. Which you could easily replicate by offsetting the red blue and green channels of the image. To make it look more realistic you might want to look into masking it or doing selectively, but it might help contribute to the look. :)…
@Indi2410 Get Maya Indie. Its $300 a year (far more affordable than the other options) and shouldn't be too hard to set aside that much money for it if your not financially pressed. That eliminates potential problems with trying to get your hands on the program through 'other means'. About learning Maya, I get where your…
I'm curious, were you working off of SIG Sauer OEM refs? "I'm kind of dreading having to go back and fix all this stuff." To be entirely honest there's no getting around it, revision, revision then even moar revision is really part and parcel when seeking too replicate a highly accurate depiction, If indeed an envisioned…
My first 360 bought in 2005 didn't RRoD but the video card failed after 2 years. Sold that one to a friend this past fall. I bought my Resident Evil 5 red edition last March and it was only replaced because lightni...err, it just MYSTERIOUSLY stopped working... 3 months after buying. Replacement took under two weeks…
I actually just try to get started anywhere. I am afraid that just doing what I enjoy is not necessarily what helps me find a job. The most fun I had replicating classical sculptures or paintings but I dont know if that kind of work is really needed.
Why not open the tile sampler and take a look at how it looks? The default Substances are just ripe for picking. Take the image into photoshop and write down notes on the features you see and what needs to be replicated. Basically just make a plan rather than trying to wing it and you'll thank yourself.
It's hard to say if this is the case based on the cropped screenshots, but I know you can replicate an identical result if you don't have materials turned on for the tool (ie: RGB only). Drop out of edit mode and check to make sure you're set to MRGB before going back to edit.
I had quite a play around with this and it's pretty cool. However, i really don't have a clue how i did most of what i did, certainly couldn't replicate it. Whether that's my fault or the seemingly hella confusing interface i don't know, but this is how i felt
