One of the most interesting models I've seen recently. It's lacking some definition that some outlines might help (like maybe some sort of toon shader), but it actually reads surprisingly well even without it. Great job!
o-snap, hey JMC3D! :D awesome to see you here, I love your awesome toon-sculpts, and your Korra is looking great so far :) I really dig how you handled the face
Even then, painting a texture from scratch instead of being "image manipulators". It looks awesome when people paint textures from scratch, even toon-ish textures look awesome. I am guilty of image manipulation :P.
I dont have normal maps or low and high ploy models just the one because i was trying to do a toon hand painted texture practice this is a the texture map I just really want to learn how to do it
i assume you're talking about WAR? dispite all the bad things in the game, i still have fun playing it, and i'm on my 4th major toon now (have 3 past rr80). and yes, the art IS fantastic.
Hmmm...I like the mech model you've created for this project. It is very simple, but the style is appealing. I also think you've done a good job with the shader/material applied to the mech. A variation on the toon shader, and it seems to work well.
Hey guys, I finally just picked up a 360 and was playing tales of vesperia. I think I'd like to investigate toonshading and environments next as my next 3d learning experience. Also I'm looking at a more stylized toonish shading like in valkyria chronicles for ps3. A few questions though.... Aside from illustrate and ink n…
Toon shaders, though not the average black-outline solid-interior one you typically think of when someone says "toon shader." I saved off some images from a thread a long time ago by these same artists. Basically the same thing as the wireframe shots at the end of the movie. Nice to see the finished product, thanks for the…
f-edge does a nice job of this in 3dsmax, and it's only $45. http://www.ddag.org For Maya... have you looked at the vector renderer? I bet there's also a toon-style shader for Maya that would give you lines along the hard edges...
could you post the color map? I'm wondering if you painted the black outlines into the texture or its some kind of special toon shader. I think he's a cool cooking...ahem, looking character. Can't find anything to crit.
