Looks great, really liking the wheels :D Maybe the car could reflect some more light, I think it would really push it to the next level :) Also have you tried or experimented with some more paint/wheel colour combinations? I think yellow would look sweet on it >:D
Generic? You mean unfitting? :D This engine can not handle shadereffects or fancy materials like the UDK. I can not go much further with the shaders than I already am. (and you noted correctly, most objects are not shaded to keep a constant framerate) Well at least one good thing :D Thanks for the insight!
finished 2nd bachelors thesis and finally can concentrate on this for a week now again :D finished painting the girl! also added a gradient map to the squirrel and made the fur longer next ill have to add spec and gloss map to the girl and gloss map for the squirrel then rigging! oh i forgot... hair again :D :D:D
you can do it in zbrush by dropping to the lowest sub D, masking everything apart from the part you want more dense, then ctrl+D subdivide it obviously not the best solution for a fine piece of technical modelling, but ideal for organic stuff perhaps you could always do it that way, then manually clean it up afterwards
someone had their sweetroll stolen lol wtf @AndrewRosyaev I would make the chainmail pattern larger, unless I'm mistaken and it's supposed to be a shiny wire mesh material. I have a collection of references I took during my time in Europe. Good luck https://imgur.com/user/Zetheros…
Have to agree with @Noren , @ZacD , and @pior : both the contiguous unwrap and compound curvature of the shape are contributing to the distortion in a way that's almost unavoidable with a [tiling] texture only approach. Lot's of good advice on how to proceed with different approaches from everyone in this thread. As far as…

Making simple models rapidly to practice texturing. I focused on texturing nowadays. Sorry if i did something wrong, first time posting :D Hello…
I started working on an old dirty motorcycle. Its a crossover between 1950's harleys, triumphs, nortons etc! I pick elements from references I could gather. I will go with a highpoly version, then bake on a videogame rez. I can predict an epic UV clusterfuck coming :D Up until now i'm about done with the frame, So I'll…
Been working on this (and other projects)for the last 2 months and thought I would share :D . presented in marmoset, textured using substance painter and Photoshop NDO was used for some smaller details along with mudbox to paint a height map for some of the small panel lines. High Poly This has been really fun to work on…
Hey folks! Finally got around to revamping my site. Posted up some works from my recent title, as well as some high poly work from War for Cybertron. Not looking for work or anything, was just feeling a little dated with the site :poly124: Hope you like! Let me know if my buttons are broken anywhere :D…
