As can be seen here: I saw some threads about this in the past, here and other forums, but I can't turn them up (none with the solution, not sure there were any before) I think it has something to do with profiles, maybe I opened a PSD from a colleague or something and it changed my settings? Hi Rufuss, and welcome to Polycount. You've made a good job and I got some points to push it a bit further if you like. A. There is a smoothing error. Control the topology. You got there 6 edges converging on a single vertex and it can cause too much surface stretch. Add edges to avoid such poles. B. Check the hard curve… -
How long does to generally take too..
How long does it generally take in a studio setting to create a lead character model, something in a next gen setting. Like Sam fisher from Splinter cell, or Cratos in God of War. I know there are a lot of variables, like iterations / changes, but say if things were to go smoothly. Thanks. : ) -

Normalmap-lighting looks strange too where the two meshes intersect, and in older engines (depends on the precision of the z-buffer) you will get z-fighting in those areas too. -

The presentation - with two overlapping rifles - is a bit muddled. It'd be easier to see if they were separated. The cutouts on the muzzle break look too sharp and too closely spaced. -
