An OC, Jacqueline Celestia. This is the first entry for a new (3d) character art portfolio I'm beginning to piece together. On to the next character... Thanks for viewing and your input. Programs: ► Adobe Photoshop, ► Autodesk Maya, ► Marmoset Toolbag, ► Pixologic ZBrush
Lamborghini Veneno 2013 that I've made from scratch in Autodesk Maya and rendered in Keyshot. The major renders are the studio ones. The HDRI shots were supposed to be just tests for the mid-term evaluation at my school (The scale of the environment is wrong in some shots).
Yeah man, I'll check again in a month's time. In the meantime, I guess I'll stick with LT / trial out blender. Hopefully autodesk adopts the indie business model permanently. Fingers crossed! Thanks again!
Ah, good to know there's scripts available for it... thanks Steve :) Although it begs the question... if it's so easy to script, why haven't Autodesk ever added it by default? It's pretty much a necessity for hand-keyed cycles, I thought...
I don't know a thing about Maya dynamics, but have you tried the Autodesk AREA forums? They've got paid question-answerers who are pretty on point about getting stuff like this answered promptly.
Burn the Maya user! No reason except Autodesk's excuse for an SDK >_> Although, in parallel, I'm developing a .NET wrapper for the format which should make life easier for anyone else looking to create an FBX pipeline in the future.

Damn. Considering more and more about switching from Max to Modo. It will probably happen for me in the next year. I think Autodesk has really shot themselves in the foot with their pricing and lack of development regarding upgrades.
Maya 2017 and Maya 2018 have a been a huge improvement. It now has a lot of features that Max has, so I'm pretty happy with it. it finally does extrude with shift. It took over a decade for Autodesk to add this.
