Probably that 8k/120fps/ray tracing wouldn't happen simultaneously. Probably you could play lowpoly indie games on 8k on 120fps, aaa games with one or two ray tracing features on 1080p on 30fps or some other combination of these. That would sound more realistic.
Holy shit, looks like blizzard will make tons of money with the AH! Buying virtual stuff for more then 1 dollar is already crazy IMO. I just hope this marks not the beginning of Freemium AAA games, i heard Crytek will already go the freemium route.
ROWE = Win. 1/2)Our company is generally a clock punching culture, but I've been able to swing it to being hybrid for our team only. 3/4) Yes! Location, AAA title, and working with talented and driven artists that will push me to get better.
This game is the bee's knees! Just got back from the expo and i'd say was the most fun game in the Indy section, I'd also rate it more enjoyable than some of the AAA titles I played today! Was nice chatting to ya man! All the best :)
It's used in some way or another by a whole bunch of AAA studios out there and around 20k indies. We can't talk specifics but if you take a peak on our website you'll see quotes from Dice, Naughty Dog or Ubisoft as a small sample of Substance users :)
yep, that video looks like a nice AAA nextgenbullcrap game, all grey and bloomy... the good side of the thing being that it seems to look better than resistance...that or arsh's technique depicted in the e3 thread worked I'll wait for more before giving my judgement.
Hello everyone, my name is Keith and I'm happy to showcase my new portfolio piece character. My goal is to eventually work in a AAA studio someday. Personally after this piece I think I'm leaning more to characters than environments. My Artstation link; https://www.artstation.com/keithq1995
lol almost every AAA game out there is a clone of another one its pretty common practice, that new LOTR game looks like a clone of batman and assasins creed, COD and BF campaigns are pretty much clones of each other. eh its just business.
If this is not a paid position I will be removing this thread. I'll give the studio a day to respond appropriately but I'm not having my community hoodwinked. Also, the behaviour based on the e-mails is not very professional. And yes, I have worked for AAA game studios so I know the difference.
It's largely gameplay that sells for me, which is why my consoles are gathering dust and my games library is increasingly filling with indie boxes instead of AAAs. I love a good looking game, but if it's just more mindless wandering through corridors with a gun, I'll usually pass.
