Thank you so much for the detailed feedback.I really appreciate you taking the time to point these things out.I got busy midway with work, so I haven’t been able to add more post to my portfolio.I’ve updated my asset based on the above suggestions, and I’m planning to revisit and polish the rest of the portfolio once I get…
Yeah, I usually find that eyeballs will be approximately the right size if there's about an eyeball's space between them. So duplicate one of your eyeball meshes, move it to the centre axis in the front view, if it just about touches each side of the existing eyeballs, then they the right size. At the moment the ones…
Hi PC, I've recently started using both Substance Designer and Substance Database for a project that I'm working on. For some reason all of the textures are really low-res (256x256) considering the main bitmap is 2048x2048? Is there something that I need to do within Designer to resize the other images? Or does the texture…
Been on UDN and googled but couldn't find anything relevant. Only found this but the option does not exist in the emitter properties: "If you set in the properties of the Emitter actor in Advanced bDirectional to True, an arrow will be displayed in the editor to help you to rotate it better." Can't hide the arrow with the…
Hey guys, So I have had a whole bunch of problems with Zbrush when I hit a certain point of detail/complexity on a project, Zbrush becomes almost totally useless, as I cannot load any quicksaves. I'm working on a file that is 3.2mill polys in total. 8 subtools. No real paint data. When I quicksave this file it sits at…
Modelling technique is pretty solid, but edges are too tight on the pump and ventilation shield - even compared to the real thing. As for why to get nice curves just for 3d reasons : the looser the edge, the more curvature to bake onto more area on the map, thus maintaining the appearance of a curve even with smaller…
Thanks guys! keep up the hard work! on a side note: Im a little confused as to why they are different sizes when I uploaded them to my photobucket all at the same time... they all had the exact same resolution before I uploaded them... photobucket just decide to randomize the size of them?
Badass cigarette throw you say? It's pretty yes, but very wasteful for the objects normal relative size. What are you planning to do with this? or is it just a practise piece? Its good work at any rate. Try reducing texture and poly size? a simple 3 sided cylinder would suffice for ingame really.
Has anyone figured out how to hide the title bar in 3ds max? Also the yellow outline around the selected viewport? I've managed to get rid of everything else. They're just minor annoyances, but annoying nonetheless.
