Here's an update based on your feedback. I have kept the the head components with the holes but have altered the shape to mirror a popes hat (still needs adjusting thought it would be a cool idea based on it being a demon however) and have also given it horns and made it look like it would be more speedy. Thanks again for…
My friend Archanexx is a member here on PC and is an animator so I'm going to shoot you his site as an example. It's clean, it's easy to navigate, it has all the stuff you *need* to see at the top and if you feel curious a bit more towards the bottom. http://smootharcs.com/ P.S. That's me posing in the red hat xD
See if this anatomy guide helps, one thing I notice is it might be easier to figure out proportions if you remove that hat. You need to think about the forms underneath the clothing if you really want to sell this guy. This page is from Andrew Loomis, all of his books can be found online, as they are out of print.
LE is definitly an exellent manga Exellent mesh as usual with ALOT of character... C'mon do some shits, I would like to say sometimes different than "omfg that rox" updates ! ^^ Edit : I'm not sure about the bump (?) on the hat. I doesn't look very leather-ish atm. But I'm sur it's WIP Anyways ->
Your concepts are pretty great. I'd love to help but I'm still just learning the source tools for making items. Having someone who can make promotional material and testing is really helpful though. I hope you find someone you can work with! (I really want that faceless void hat...)
Brad - Thanx a lot! Stromberg - if you say so! :P Ryan - hehehe, you man! Thanx! Im trying my best. :D Daniel - hehe, is that a halo guy with a mexican hat for your avatar? JonathanF - thanx! Well, here is some work i did today. I think is getting closer to a wrap.
Hey, I dig that.. the colors work really well... On the crit side of things, the UV space could have been much better utilized - less unused space, arms and legs using the same UV space, the things coming off the hat using the same UV space (but maybe every other one flipped), etc..
You normally want to keep all your pieces in one UV map, especially for low poly. Also, make sure to always look at your pieces to find parts that are repeated. Like his hat. If you cut the brim into 4th's, all the pieces are the same, so no need to include them all separately, they can be overlapped.
once he has the beard and the silly hat he will look spot on im sure. didnt he invent a meal too, was it lunch? i dunno. I used to live near a little town called sandwich in southern england, where a fat baron couldnt stop eating, and invented a new meal between meals. aparently.
@Alemja Thank you and sure here is a first sheet for the cloth parts. I really like the idea of a victorian style with bulgy pants and ornaments. The materials are modern out of a futuristic material ... But I hat huge problems with "normal pants and these legs =) and then I found the leg warmer for horses. Can't wait to…
