Thank you for the nice compliment! I've made one character 5 years ago and I think that's it.... sooo idk if im able and or going to model a lot of characters. But androids, yes! for sure! I've already made one and more are in my design document to make in the future! :D
because its a massive piece of terrain. At least from player perspective. I meant like just the splat map would maybe be that large, maybe smaller. But idk, at that point I might as well use the verts if they're cheaper as you say. Plus it would be nicer to paint.
Sick! I wish the process gif loaded lol It kinda feels like hes standing on his tip toes or something tho, just the way the knees are bent with those kind of hooves shoe designs.. Idk, maybe not. I just love his top half tho.
http://www.c4dcafe.com/ipb/ Try there, they have useful video tutorials and a nice community. (<well when I used to use cinema4D anyway). You're free to pm me with questions I just haven't used it in idk.. 4+ years now so I might not be of a lot of help.
I'm really liking 2, shows great action and has a really strong contrast but idk if it really fits with the character, maybe if you tone the light down it would fit a little better; so for the same reason I'd say 3 is the best fitting and most interesting shot.
In most cases the person rigging wants the model handed to them in a symmetrical pose that is fairly close to the character's normal idle pose - usually this will be the A pose - and for the muscles to be modelled correctly for that pose. If you're doing something that requires a huge range of movement or you are doing…
I just start with a multiple of 6 ( 12, 18, 24, etc) and use this method to form the circle into a hex: http://i.imgur.com/VNSu2AO.gif The more sides you have, the more scaling you have to do and fiddle with it. Idk about all this math Odd_enough is talking about. :D
