It's the lowest-common-denominator solution to selling more crap. It doesn't take much brains to slap a 'darker' image on a character, so it's easier to rubber-stamp it through. I doubt it will change much besides having more marketing power behind them. Keep in mind that Disney also owns ABC, which has shows like Lost, Desperate Housewives, etc. It's kinda silly to think that in a month or two we're going to see a more family oriented, moral-happy version of Wolverine or the Punisher. -

My sculpture is far from done, so I started this other one to unwind a bit. It is based on a Joe Mad's character for a Wolverine's comic. I am planning to make it a low poly character, maybe with more polys than my other projects. Take care! (I need to stop forgetting to do my weekly post :/ ) -

I would ask permission if I was going to model somebody's personal concepts, like Jouste's stuff or something Feng Zhu did that wasn't for a client, but I wouldn't ask Marvel if I could model Wolverine. --- though I would mention in the presentation that he was created/owned by Marvel Comics Inc.... or I guess Disney now. -

The Wolverine Origins movie was so terrible I stopped watching any of the marvel comic films. Took me a while to get over that feeling but last week Spiderman 3 was on TV so I thought I would give it a go. Now I never want to see another film ever again. I await this tentatively. -
