So, I'm making a helmet of a comic book character for a client, and there's a specific situation where I'm not entirely familiar doing. He would like it completely wearable from the get go (after printing). What do I need to do in ZBrush to make sure this helmet will fit his head straight from the print My first instinct…
Digging this a lot, love the character's style. I like that you ditched the helmet, I usually am all about helmets but in this case I think his hair adds way more character.
Here's a quick update on that character so far: Helmets messy; it looks like theres some monster head in it, but thats actually part of the helmet. The eye holes currently look like eye sockets.
Trigger, the style you are going for is great. But I do have to question the efficiency of having all of the detail for the characters under their helmets. From the top shot, all you can see is the helmet. If that is the view that the player is usually going to get, you could almost get away with not using the characters'…
Thanks Malarchy! Yeah I agree as well, so far for me it looks like some type of gladiator with a stone helmet :S But I'll definitely be making it more volatile/dangerous. Not so much with the shape of the helmet but I've been thinking of adding some type of gang logo painted on the helmet and/or a tattoo on the left…
Hey, how would I go about modeling in text in a helmet as seen below. It won't have the same words but similar, and it needs to be actually MODELED into the helmet mesh and not a floater. I believe there is a modifier which makes shapes into a sphere shape, would this be of use?
yeah, looks like a direct rip-off of the stormtrooper helmet :/ I think the arms and legs might be fine if the helmet was smaller, but I agree with what you were getting at. It looks really top heavy.
Hi Poly! It's Surge. Nice texturing, but yeah, having a shadows from the helmet would be sweet. Maybe even put the shadow as an alpha thingy on the helmet; I've seen it done on some alien gunslinger model....
