As far as I know you can't disable color managment in Photoshop . 0.45 works fine on files not having embedded iCC color profiles like exr , tga and png maybe . Not sure about the last one although, it still could I think. When you open a psd WITH embedded ICC profile like what photoshop always do when you save a psd file…
Your color divided by 256 = Color value between 0 and 1. For example : 127 (gray) = 127 / 256 = 0.496. Note that our color widget is in linear space (not sRGB as in Photoshop).
overlay (< 127 darken, > 127 brighten) would be // add AlphaBlendEnable = TRUE; DestBlend = SrcColor; SrcBlend = DestColor; which is the same as SrcColor * DestColor *2
