Haha poor family, having to watch an entire movie in another language, lol! I'm very much looking forward to this film also. I've only read good reviews so far. It should be a nice break-off from all the torture-porn that's currently flooding the horror genre.
-giggle- Dongles... -giggle- Ok, does no one else keep reading that word in this thread and giggling a little, or is it just me? Cause it kinda sounds like... you know... teehee. (Sorry. Thought the thread could use a pointless light-hearted break. Continue with the regularly scheduled heated debate. :) )
You should try to find more reference of this location, so you can see it from different angles, closeups, without the motion blur, etc. One image isn't going to give you enough information, especially when you're just starting out. A lot of reference is key! Landscape in games typically mixes two main techniques...…

I agree with HAL. As is, the details read well, but are ho-hum. Mesh materials together - right now, the creature seems to be constructed of a singular material. A bony spine with a complimentary color scheme, for example, might break up the monotony of the back-side. Adding accessories might boost the visual design…
Yep i hear ya! Here is the scene with a human reference, 1.8m male. Maybe this helps? Im thinking i should introduce some human sized elements to break that scale barrier. The fat pillars and big stone blocks are not reading well without something to bring out the grander scale.
I'm calling it 5 names without the -(doesnt count) which puts in in first place via tie break I expanded the list to 10, let me know if i missed adding anyone back in, or if my scores are off etc(i ca barely read, let alone count).
Hello there! I'm new to the forum but was hoping I could maybe get some advice / insight on a project I'm currently tackling. :) I'm working on a relatively simplistic stylized volcanic island for a VR game where you fly around with a jetpack (visually and conceptually similar to something you'd find from Nintendo: Mario,…
Welcome to polycount! 1st, this probably belongs in P&P? 2nd, I agree with everything above. I like some of the rigging and modeling nice work =) You've got a lot of the technical hurdles taken care of. 3rd, <<!! INCOMING WALL-O'-TEXT !!>> At the risk of sounding like a dick I'm going to rip this whole thing apart.…
hey, That radio is lit from the front like there's a spot light on it. Also its kinda hard to see, maybe move the entire thing closer to the camera. The wall dirt decal is clearly repeating and it kinda breaks the illusion. Texture on the wall doesn't read well, might as well remove it. Overall, its interesting.
