You could also toy around with putting some light green moss on the rooftiles here and there to give it a sense of use/age. Maybe look at adding a row of larger stones/bricks at the bottom of the house all the way around, like foundation stones. Similar to how this does it, but no where near as exaggerated (sorry I…
ah, ok. In the concept it reads as stone, but in yours with the "hyper gloss" it reads sorta like a weird alien mineral or something. I would say that the originality of your final render is really cool and I dig it, but if you want to demonstrate more real world materials then push the stone look of the concept. Either…
Your sculpt look good but you texture is undefined and kinda dull. Having that entrance piece just crunched makes no sense at all. It's such an easy piece to model out in proper lowpoly. Stone and stone walls and what not, sure. But you can get this down to under 500-ish EASY.. Look at this. This is what I would have done.
Thanks for your quick reply cryrid, I already have all my stones sculpted, I was just using the cylinder as an example. But its happening the the stones I have made as well, so I wasn't sure if there was an option box or something I need to change to keep the object at the same depth when i enter edit mode.
Pokemon Go: Man loses two stone (12.7 KG) while becoming first to catch all 143 creatures in UK http://www.independent.co.uk/life-style/gadgets-and-tech/gaming/pokemon-go-man-loses-two-stone-while-becoming-first-to-catch-all-143-creatures-in-uk-a7161606.html?cmpid=facebook-post
Hey, good start on enviro! Fix the textures though, they look really muddy (low rez). Its not enough to slap some random stone-moss together and call that ground. Large shapes like cobblestones have to be sculpted and baked into normal maps. Add some higher definition elements - stones, mud cracks, grass. Good luck!
Here's a WIP medusa set... the idea being she is turning to stone. Dunno if the stone arm is too much for the poly limit, but I think there will be ways to perhaps cheat it. She is also wearing more of a dress here but the tail will still show at the end. Still looking for collaborators for everything on this page and…
You might want to vary the color of the stones a bit, it all feels to uniform atm. For the ground texture doesn't really look like anything (is it sand? stone?), and the white walls which I assume are plaster just seem completely blank atm. The wood needs more texture too especially at the ends where the planks would have…
OK I have a technical question, I am doing the stone lizzard withe the gold ring. I made a high and low baked normal map for the body. For moss, divets. Extra.. would I make those into alpha maps and run them through crazy bump? Or do I just have moss and Duvets on same texture as the stone?
