HEX Entertainment, creator of the digital trading card game HEX: Shards of Fate, is looking for an amazing Technical Artist to join the team here in Lake Forest, CA. Technical Artists act as a bridge between the Artists and Programmers working on a game. They ensure art assets can be easily integrated into a game without…
I hope I'm not wrong haha. I've visually compared object space and bent normals and they are identical down to the pixel hex code. Can anyone confirm? On a side note, why would one need occlusion information combined with normal information? I haven't come across anything like that before.
bsod does exsist on xp, if you give me the error stack trace. I can help. In other words, the text and error message. i dont need the hex code, just the fault file, description, and maybe memory address. Should be 0xblah format. Or you can do the obvious: housecall.antivirus.com
you dont, using metalness its a predetermined value for all non metals. If you want to define specularity of non metals do not use the metalness workflow the most commonly accepted and implemented value is 0.04 reflectivity which in HEX is clost to 0a0a0a I believe. My understanding is that this is the case in TB2 and UE4.
Hallo everyone, I thought I'd try my hand at making a skin set for all of the Field Medic's guns. I thought a blue and black/grey hexagonal pattern would complement the weapons' designs. (blue relating to the Field Medic, and the hexagons representing Horzine) I figure a sleek and simple design would be the best. Reference…
preachin to the choir 3Dcharlie but thanks none the less :P if I have used any black its because of my poorly calibrated monitor, lol - I usually run warm lights and cool shadows as you suggested, but some things like hex #131619 may come across as black on some screens
The diffuse reflection part of metals is black (or at least very close to black), as no light is reflected. All of the reflections are specular reflections, and if you want good looking metal, you need a cubemap / RTT reflections multiplied by your spec color (something like HEX: FFE29B for gold) and blurriness of the…
lookin good sir, again the textures on the helmet are awesome! spec looks pretty good, the baggy material on the pants looks a little scaley at the moment, dunno if that was intentional, also i think the hex pattern on the silver fabric could stand to be repeated somewhere in the texture. lookin nice tho bakes came out…
Tried a tank top made only with hexagonal shapes stitched together. The idea was that tank tops suit a brawler better, and that hex shapes look scifi. Don't know if I end up keeping it. The coat is the big important piece so I need to work on that to see what works. And some blocking out of the pants.
KP: In this context "hot coffee modification" refers to the patch that unlocks the minigame, not the minigame itself. Of course the disassembling claims are incorrect, he modified the files directly with a hex editor. I giess "disassemble, change, recompile" was the answer the legal team got when they asked a coder how you…
