Alright, i saw these or a similar one on a tech channel they spoke of how accurate and stuff it is, i am not a camera guy or anything i just know they are insanely expensive. Hope it turns out the same as irl if that is the goal, near project to watch, will be checking in from time to time just to see the progress but…
Thank you Ash means alot, primary aim is to have only 1 texture set at 4k resolution with 1024px/m distribution, then finally showcased in UE4 so I'm eagerly looking forward to the challenge putting this 8yr odyssey too bed once and for all.
I've run into a bit of a snag. I didn't take into account the texel density and as such have forced myself into going back to redo the uvs and bakes. Here's my current state of uneven texel distribution I'm aware the uneven texel density comes from me trying to take up as much uv space as possible without considering the…
Hey guys, Once again thanks for the in-depth post. I want to start with our reasoning as to why some things are laid out as they are and then move over to some more specific areas of the functionality and gui within Knald. We have spent a very long time thinking about and implementing the GUI within Knald & Lys & generally…
Since I have not been to active over the last couple of weeks in the polycount community I like to share with you folks what I've been up to, some might already have heard of it for some it might be new. Maybe I can spark some interest. Dota 2 does not have official modding support yet, but that doesnt mean people arent…
@Noren Thanks for the confirmation - If I understand you correctly - should it look something like this?: On another note, i am also seeing something, that I did not intend for and I have been unsuccessful in figuring it out. The 'Motion Paths' show, that the IK Chain (Green), and Bone (White) Paths do not follow exactly…
Very small update! I changed up the towers quite a bit because the first one didn't feel right to me. I'm really liking this one though. I'm planning to add a bunch of detail to the towers this week since I feel I got a little behind. I also have a couple props cooking up but they're for additional details to the scene…
You can get both types. I havent tried a screen/tablet combo but i find a tablet just fine (I also come from more of a drawing background) http://www.wacom.com/productinfo/ For sketching the bigger the tablet the better. Small tablets force you to draw from the wrist making your arcs pretty wobbly and crappy.
I'd definitely ask for your money back if you are just doing free tutorials from 3dtotal. If you'd like to 'finish' one up finish the full joan of arc tutorial then. BTW, what school is this?? You can always ask questions here or even in irc. They helped me get up to speed with 3dsmax pretty quickly
The reason for the slanted turret rear was because (and i didn't realize this until recently) - the reference diagrams I was initially working from were from CANCLED prototypes of the Tiger I: I'm glad to see people object to the angle because now I'm forced to fix it ;) even though it will be a pain in the butt to do.…
