I like this, but I feel there should be more throwbacks to Skeletor's old design, like crossed bones on his chest, or a hood. As it stands, it doesn't feel like a redesign so much as just another character with a skull for a head.
@Bodhwell Thanks man :) Probably gonna be doing a few horn variations when the time comes. Kinda wanna play with working them into a voidy/alien skull mask type thing. We'll see what happens XD
Hello everyone, continuing studies, I did a small study of the human skull at lunchtime. At work I don't have Zbrush, so I used Sculptris, I think there is much what to improve in the proportion and naturalness of the volumes.
that is maya. to answer the first topic, i'd like to mention that IMO -before modeling heads and adding details, features, etcc - you should try skull-modeling. it really gives you a main idea of a head's proportions and so on.
I guess there is just something about the concept of an otter riding an Ostrich that screams "Make me into a 3d model!" Here's a small update of the Otter. I think I may give him a little skull cap too.
I did a quickie. Made two matcap bakes based on Darksiders color scheme- one blue, one yellow. Used one for the skull and the other for the teeth + eyes, then spent 15 min loosely painting over the results.
Nice progress, the hair is looking better. It seems like the top of his skull could be inflated a bit more. The image above looks rounder and slightly larger at the crown. Its a tough project keep up the good work.
Some things to look out for: Front ref is with lowered jaw, side ref is with mostly closed jaw. Front shots have strong perspective. Might be you modeled that into your mesh. Your model lacks the back of the skull.
Hey guys, new to posting on polycount and modelling in general but thought Id start posting WIPs to get some feedback/critique. This is only something Ive started out of boredom, I cant find the source of reference unfortunatly but heres the image anyway (It wont be used to anything but a pass time anyway) Im planning on…
Hello Polycount, Started working on a Castle Grayskull here and would just like to show what I have to so far. Most things are pretty set like the towers and windows, but still a lot of work left. The rocks and spine still have a lot of work left. I really would like an opinion of how the skull is looking so far. I don't…
