This is unfortunately the issue i'll have. It's off-site, away from the developers which is unfortunate. Luckily, the area i'll be in, in Liverpool UK, there's a big increase in studios that do VR, along with some game companies. Really cool in VR, but I wish the camera would be locked to the tram, so that it felt like I was sitting in it. Now when the tram moves, the head does not follow so it feels like I’m just floating with no contact with the tram. Maybe there is a way of locking the camera to the tram movement? -

I'm super pumped for Alien Isolation, congrats to you guys working on it, it looks fantastic! Great lighting and materials, and some of the fire FX looked incredible. Watching the gameplay I was thinking, "Damn this would be killer for VR..." and then bam! You guys announced Rift support. Wish granted :) -

Increasing the tilt-shift caused issues reading the world space text which was originally there for vr. You can kind of move the camera to read the text, but some people had difficulty with it. I do kind of like what the tilt shift does to the shape, focus, and detail of the UI though. -

Yeah that is not an issue and it is very easy to get that working with the Maya environment cube node. The problem with that is as the camera moves the environment moves, think quicktime vr style. I want a static ground plane and just some ghetto wrap around environment texture/skybox that from a distance looks 3d. -
Re: Making art for games kicks ass
The pace at which its all changing is pretty scary, but exciting. I have no idea what the art pipeline will be in 5-10 years or how VR is going to affect it all... there are more exciting jobs out there than game art but most feel stagnant in comparison. I'm happy to be part of it! -

Thanks for your reply. I am deliberately trying to do this by script as I want to use this in a virtual reality plug-in I'm currently using ( https://www.marui-plugin.com/ ) . I am trying to create my own scripts that I can easily access and use from within VR .
