Pior nailed it on the head here. If what's "stale" right now looks awesome, then by all means PLEASE further the awesome. I feel like the industry is moving further and further away from style as it moves closer and closer to "photo realistic". As an artist, "photo realistic" is fucking boring. That was an awful lot of…
Thank you @CybranM and @Dreamtheory for a feedback! I changed the stock texture to more colorful and realistic. When I rendered this gun with new texture I realized how bad that previous one was. Please tell me more tips which would get this gun look more realistic.
I think you can add more scratches and dirt to give a realistic feeling if u r going down in that path... Even though there r variation in the texture with all that scratches and bump on it, it doesn't feel realistic, atleast to me ( I could be wrong )... Use a lot of reference for texturing ...
Hey Gallamaji, I feel like if you enjoy making low poly and cartoony assets and environments definitely put that on your portfolio. I don't think it's bad to have some realistic stuff on your portfolio, but if you do it wouldn't hurt to have it divided between cartoon & realistic.

If that is indeed the ingame size you could cut out some polys, xtra loops that do not add much detail to the silouette like the edge loop around the bicep, you could take those polys and add more of the ref like the bullet strap across the chest or possibly the weapong since it takes up more realestate on screen. Im not…
Man this damn good stuff. The face looks incredible, its near photo-realistic. Unfortunately next to the face the suit stands out as non photo-realistic. It's close but not quite there. Maybe if you add some wear into the leather and lighten the seems it could finish it off. Something like this: Good luck, this is…
Are you trying to model off of a toy? Some of the pictures ive seen they had some depth, you need to get some depth and height with the bricks. When importing to an engine use POM to get the bricks to pop out even more. If you're going for a realistic stone wall I dont believe that's realistic.
Thanks for the input, I wish I have the skills to model realistic human to the point. I am new to realistic character and trying to replicate what I see here. I did ask around but no correct answer yet as to who this is... so i guess i didn't do well on sculpting to reference.
