Ambient Occlusion Causing Weird Shadows on Bake Mesh
Hi, I'm relatively new to Substance and I'm having an issue with my Ambient occlusions, they're projecting weird shadows on the side wall (image below) I haven't linked anything else because I don't know what else would be needed to troubleshoot, more than willing to send any more information if required I've tried… -

Is the string variable $rsTxtFld actually set to something? Try print($rsTxtFld) too see what value you get. there is no need for the else if, just do a normalstring $test; -

I'm of mixed minds about this. It feels like our community has a need to discuss this, why else would these topics garner such a HUGE response? Sure we can discuss this somewhere else, but what makes the Polycount discussions interesting is the viewpoint we get from us being who we are, and discussing the things we discuss. -

Agreeing with what everyone else said, I dont know how everyone else here would feel about this but i definitely was a bit thrown off at the big bold underlined "HIRE ME!" at the bottom lol, hope to see that environment filled out a lot more man, good luck and keep going :D -

not sure what you mean by do nothing function? if you want it to not error out just use some if and else statements to check for the existence of the modifiers first. like IF modifer exists do stuff, ELSE print warning and move on. and like MrOneTwo said in almost all languages = is generally for setting a value or… -

could be very good, and you can livestream the hangout via youtube as well. so what you could do is have, say... two or three permanent hangout participants, who are the "pro's". anyone else can join, they get to ask their question, it gets answered by a pro, that person leaves, and someone else joines. ad infinitum. -

It's like anywhere else, the better you are, the better you do. If you aren't that good tho, you'll be probably doing worse in the games industry than anywhere else, since everybody seems to want to make games, and will almost work for free. So if you don't do it for cheap, 20 others will, with a hand kiss. Kinda sad. -

That is why there is no one else qualified to run DW. If I sold DW now, or handed it off to someone else, DW would be cut back so much, that it wouldn't even be recognizable. DW is not a lemon challenge that deserves to be cut down, or die. It deserves to keep its integrity. I must simply find a way to support it. -

Bit of a long shot but try Reset xforms and converting to editable mesh and then back to editable poly. Also make sure you don't have any overlapping UVs.
