Hey guys, this is my first post on polycount! My sketchbook is starting with my latest and hopefully best piece. Pushing my work and learning new software like Zbrush, Ndo and keyshot! I'm currently modelling a GSO 5 knife and sheath. Any critique is welcome :) i'm currently sculpting details in zbrush, the keyshot render…
< LATEST > < > Hey. Working on a portrait of a girl. Want to push it further than I usually do. I think I hit a moment it's worth showing and getting some advices so feel free to help me make it better :) I'm using Keyshot but I will probably also try to render it in Toolbag 3. In Toolbag I struggle to make eyes look good.…

It's been a while since I updated by I've been busy with work and stuff. Modelling is completed and at the moments I am rendering the gun out in keyshot. I have not textured it or anything, im using the materials within keyshot and while playing around with the lighting im trying to recreate the original reference picture.…
Nice touch with the grafitti. Also, it looks like a combination of mechwarrior and transformers with a touch of gundam. For rendering models i like to use keyshot. I think it gives pretty good renders and fast. You can also try marmoset or even ue4. Ue4 can produce pretty impressive renders but unlike keyshot for example,…
thanks @Obscura , I played around with keyshot a bit and I think you are right that it won't be necessary for my project. The increased light fidelity actually just highlights the weaknesses in my textures/materials so my people look more like plastic dolls than they do in toolbag. Of course that can be fixed but then…
Does anyone know of any alternatives to Marmoset Toolbag that is more affordable for a solo/indie user? I know about Keyshot, but that's waaay out of my budget at $400 or so, and I think i remember reading somewhere that Marmoset is tied to your computer by Hardware ID (or that might have been keyshot, can't remember) I…
Do TB2 support boxmapping/tri-planar mapping for textures? I've just recently started using Keyshot and that's what they use to apply textures when rendering materials such as wood without forcing the user to UV-unwrap the mesh. It would be great to be able to do this in TB2 as well, as Keyshot is a bit slow for my taste…
Thanks Guys! Hopefully Im gonna have time to start with a low-poly version in the near future. MGE_PM: Yes its rendered in Keyshot but I did set up the materials in 3ds max and then used the 3ds Max keyshot exporter plugin. loki1991: Since its a highpoly It doesn't reallt matter, but with the second iteration with…
Well you only really need the dynamesh model (I dont think you would need to retopo), and judging by the beauty shots of models used to publicize ZBush 2018 I think that combo with keyshot sounds like it might do you just fine. You would probably need to use some other ZBrush features as well so your work in ZBrush 4R7…
