I just want some feedback on this character I have been working on. Excuse the couple of frames where she is warping through herself, these would not be seen in game. She has 2 walks, 1 run, 2 gun fires, 1 loop, a dance and 1 special attack at the end which is not finished. I will add the crouch loop and boring animations…
Hi, i'll try to texture a turtle in WoW style and asked myself how i should do the shading. To avoid hard edges i would just add 1 sg to all. I tested it with a stone. I think the shading (1 sg to all faces) look bad on any stone. Besides that we have a shot from Diablo and i ask myself - how the achieve #2? #1 is clear -…
No you don't. I have been on numerous forums for years and never seen it. The last thing in the world I am is a Sony fanboy. The last thing. And you don't have a point. No one get's controller lag. It is an intentional gameplay design choice. You truly have a horrendous taste in games. What does Uncharted do that Gears of…
when i do this sort of thing i make the spline shape. and duplicate it. convert 1 shape to editable poly, this should give you 1 or 2 crazy n gons. Inset the editable polys faces, usually there are only 1 or 2 ngons. once i have the inset i clean up the interior ngons, topology isnt to much of an issue here as the inset…
My current setup is this: 2 - Main Ultrawide 1 and 3 are 4k. 4 is a soundbar connected by HDMI. Before this Wednesday, 1 and 3 were set to scaling (150% and 200%) 2 was 100%. This worked fine for photoshop and such. But 3DS Max and other apps did not like the mixed scaling and wouldn't draw some UI elements. Some apps…
not totally sure what you mean when you say "declare". i think making a cubemap lookup function manually is a lost cause. it would be wiser to look into something like dual paraboloid reflection maps. the difference between a normalmap and a color map is simply the range. colors go from 0 to 1, normals go from -1 to 1. so…

@tmighty Sure, the thing to remember is that Knald can only see the UVs that are within the 1001 area (the light grey square in Blender), so whatever you want baked, and only what you want baked, needs to be in there. 1) First things first we need to head over to the UV/Image Editor window and assign an image to the mesh.…
The shading seems to be the easiest part, it looks like they're using more shading steps than the Guilty Gear Xrd method, which uses only 2 steps (lit or unlit). You can see it on the orange vest there how it has 4 steps, and there's some smoothing on it too? On Guilty Gear Xrd they used the step shader instruction as a…
To those wondering. Jaw dropped when reading the thread title, I was 1-2 years later on, p.c. downloaded it the other day to check the format export options & to remember the old times. (i am not even that old really just came in "young".)
