well i try this in the script attached to my prefab, but dont work like i want, wt am i doing wrong? public Transform target; public float speed; void update() { float step = speed * time.DeltaTime; tansform.position = Vector3.MoveTowards(transform.position, target.position, step); }
You can't have floating edges without Faces in basically any 3D app other then Blender. If you do see a floating edge in Maya (or Max/Modo, etc.) it means somethings gone wrong. The closest you can get is creating a spline/curve.
you have to glue this down pretty hardcore, it is foam so it realy wants to float up, one common prob with this method is not glueing it good enough and a week or so later a big chunk braks off and floats to the surface. outside of the tank will just be painted black where the foam is visible.
Is she magic because her hat is floating above her hair that is floating above her head? I would suggest gathering other reference to help... shape your concept. I also like how you labelled it concept art - very organized.
Do you have reference for this project? There are a few things that stand out to me with this at the moment. 1) either your lighting is set up strangely, or your green channel your normals is inverted, since light is hitting all of the bricks from below. 2) The white paint material is blending in a very strange manner. Ah yeah forgot to comment on that, I would do that in the geo. It will mess your topology... honestly you could try and add the trim as floating geo. Just make the pieces and place them around the doorway and window. It would be better to cut it into the actual shed rather than floating, up to you.
floating geometry is for things that are small or indents that would be a pain to really cut into the geometry. things like bolts, buttons, and the like are always floating geometry because why do it any other way. i forgot on my list to add: Leave the damage for photoshop or mudbox/zbrush, its faster and easier.
hmm, i tried turning down the bias to 0, but the shadow of the turret lifting ring still floats.. and i already added the specular to the gloss slot in that pic.. hmmh. i think that floating shadow is actually an illusion caused by the bright sand i have running off the lifting lug base.
<div style="float: left;">Left hand side</div><div style="float: right;">Right hand side</div><div style="clear: both;"></div> // Resets positioning of following elements.//Carry on with the rest of your site here. Also, 3 works best.
Hey when it comes to floating geometry for normal maps whats the best way you guys can suggest? I have to keep it as close to the surface as possible right? Like the indents on my phone booth I can really cut polys by floating details, etc...
