How to lower poly count around edges of this object?
I'm trying to make a shape like this: Currently I have this: I'm trying to get rid of the edges that are very close to each other on the upper right corner. To clean up the inner corners (circled), I used diamonds to allow for evenly spaced quads in the center (as I want to add more shapes), but I am unable to do the same… -

This is really overkill for a game but I can't really suggest much (detached handle example) without knowing the type of game and how you wanted to use the mug but as it stands I'd argue it's even overkill for a movie prop If it's a hero object in a first person game (like a gun in call of duty) then you want higher poly… -
Substance Painter Normals lower resolution then tutorial
So Ive followed along the whole way and am in Substance painter but my models normals always look low resolution. For example my 4k textures look like Tim's 2k textures... How to lower line count in 3ds max without losing shape detail?
I want to reduce the poly and line count inbetween the edges that actually make the shape without losing the shape itself. No matter which optimizer i use it ruins one or more of the lines or curves that make up the gun. I am willing to pay money to get a plugin that will save me time so i dont have 10k lines to optimize… -
ZBrush - annoying window border on lower screen margin
OK, so this is kind of embarrassing, but bear with me: I'm simply trying to get ZBrush to fit to my (whole) screen, but everytime I minimize and maximize (hide and unhide) the window this border appears, which I've, so far, not succeeded to get rid of. I really like your AR/VR pieces and the pumpkin textures/materials. Your large environment, however, suffers from very flat and inconsistent lighting. In a way, it looks more 2D than the concept. You did set additional lights and rim lights for important pieces, which is good in principle, but it's only partially motivated… -
